Visual Storyteller
Alfonso M. Rodriguez is a CT-based filmmaker & photographer originally from the Bronx, NY.
An alum of the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Film, Alfonso has since worked as a video editor / assistant editor, primarily working in television, social media, and corporate marketing. Some of his edit highlights include History's Forged in Fire and Pawn Stars, as well as corporate work with companies such as LexisNexis and the Young Presidents' Organization.
Outside of his professional work, Alfonso also writes, produces, directs and edits independent short narratives, animations, and documentaries. His film work has been accepted at over 50 film festivals worldwide and has been broadcast on PBS's Channel THIRTEEN and BronxNet. He is also an award recipient of the Bronx Council On The Arts' 2021 'Bronx Recognizes Its Own' (BRIO) grant in Film Animation. Most recently, he created the webcomic and animation series, Gordito the Bodega Cat.
Alfonso also freelances as a photographer - specializing in headshots, nature, event, and branded content. Some of his work has been showcased at the Jadite Galleries, the City Island Nautical Museum, and the art journals ArtAscent and BX Writers.
